Managing Your Weight

Good nutrition and weight management is key to good health outcomes. So many chronic health problems relate in part to poor nutrition, impaired metabolic systems, and obesity.

Improvement in our diet and exercise with a considered health plan for weight management can improve and often overcome many of these problems.

God has provided each of us with a body that is uniquely engineered for the maintenance of good health and vitality, if the right building blocks are supplied.

In thirty years of pharmacy practice, I have resisted recommending ‘quick fixes’ for weight management because in my view these often stress the system and do not achieve the long-term benefits they claim. My usual recommendations include good diet with avoidance of highly refined foods, saturated and trans fatty acids, increased fibre, the inclusion of vitamins, minerals and co-factors crucial to the digestive process, exercise consistent with any current health limitations, and the maintenance of a good positive self-image, essential in achieving any life goal.

The OptiW8 weight management system is the first that I have found to satisfy all aspects of the advice that I usually provide when asked about weight management. I use the OptiW8 system to address my own health issues.

I believe the OptiW8 programme provides a basis for a considered approach to an individual’s weight management goals. In my case, the metabolic enhancer has been most helpful in the four weeks since starting my own nutritional and weight management review. I have succeeded in loosing up to 5 Kg in weight and 6cm off my waistline. This has not been a difficult process and these results have been achieved without any undue stress.
